SAP HR: Personnel Administration (PA-PA)
SAP Personnel Administration (PA) involves administrating employee data, commonly referred to Master Data.
In times of increasing decentralization and the globalization of markets, an efficient and transparent administration for personnel data is a decisive advantage.
To manage all modern personnel administration tasks with this application component. Personnel Administration relieves you from the daily administrative routine activities which are costly and time consuming, while simultaneously supporting you in demanding planning activities.
Another advantage of this application component – especially for international corporations – is the various country specific versions which are created in accordance with the respective country specific features. By using country specific versions, you can set up SAP Personnel Administration as a standard personnel administration system in different countries.
Master Data in SAP contains all employee data used in HR processing. Master Data includes Personal (Eg. address), Organizational (Position description), Benefits (Insurance, Pension), Time & Payroll.
Master Data is stored in Infotypes. Infotypes are tables (for user Data entry screen) that contain logically related employee data. Data can be stored for specific periods, which includes current and historical.
Personnel Administration is completely integrated in the Human Resource component of the SAP System. If require additional functions to those offered by Personnel Administration, the following application components need to be:
- Recruitment: Transfer applicant data when hired to Personnel Administration.
- Organizational Structure: Automatically incorporate new employees in the organizational structure of the company
- Compensation Management: Transfer employee compensation directly to the employees’ payment
- Personnel Development: Trigger transfer from Personnel Development
