The ‘translation date’ field for the foreign currency translation for foreign currency invoices was really removed from MIRO transaction since SAP enjoy implementation. The default date of ‘translation date’ is equal to the posting date.

SAP remove translation date field in order to make the Enjoy transactions easy to use, the input field was not implemented as it is only rarely used. This field is in old SAP transactions (MR01)

In the logistics invoice verification (MIRO) transaction, the SAP system derives the value date(WWERT) from the posting date (BUDAT). However, the derivation should occur from the document date (BLDAT) or the posting date depending on the country key of the company code.

Solution:

• The exchange rate can be fixed in the purchase order. The system then uses this fixed exchange rate in the invoice.

If we want it to be based on document date, BAdI has to be implemented

In certain cases, it is wanted that the value date is derived from the document date. For Release 4.6C and 4.70, SAP note 574583 describes the derivation of the value date via an implementation with the help of a BAdI. By means of this implementation, the system can derive the value date automatically from the document date (and not from the posting date as in the standard).

Caution:

An advance development and delivery of the required functions involves too many risks because of the high number of program changes which are required and, thus, is not possible.
